  • Calvary Cemetery Guidelines
     

    1. On single grave sites where there is already a traditional burial (Casket and/or vault) there are not to be any more than two cremation burials.
     
    1. Cremation burials are to be in an urn & vault and buried. They are not to be scattered.
     
    1. All burials, including Cremation remains, must include a vault. No Exceptions.
     
    1. Two memorials (head stone and/or foot stone) are permitted on a single 4x8 grave site.
     
    1. Images on tombstones must not be contrary to the beliefs of the Catholic faith. Inscriptions or written statements on tombstones must be reverent, and not promote ideas and philosophies contrary to the belief and teachings of the Catholic faith.
     
    1. Infants (a child of less than 12 months of age) can be buried at the head or foot of a single grave site if there is no stone or memorial present, and if the grave site is that of a relative that has granted permission.
     
    1. Animals are not to be buried with a person or on the site of a person’s grave.
     
    1. All grave decorations (Memorial Day, Birthday, Christmas, etc.) are to be removed from the grave site within 30 days of being placed there. This does not apply to flowers or decorations that are in pots on a stand.
     
    1. Trees, bushes or perennial plants and flowers, except grass, are not to be planted or placed on a grave site.
     
    1. When a grave site is purchased the person/persons do not own the lot, but rather purchase the permission for burial only. The site is the property of the Calvary Cemetery Association and under the control of the Cemetery Board.
     
    1. The Cemetery Board of Calvary Cemetery reserves the right to add or delete rules as it deems necessary.
     
    1. Cost of Plots as of March 2023 are as follows, note 25% of purchase goes to the Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund
      1. 4x8 plots $600
      2. 4x4 plots $300 Cremations/Infant Burial
      3. Columbarium Niche $1200
